Squad IQ Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Squad IQ mobile application ("Squad IQ" or the "Service") offered by Dean Rivers, who presents Squad IQ under the JOGALAVIDA brand ("we", "us"). Dean Rivers is the legal operator of Squad IQ. These Terms are separate from the JOGALAVIDA online-store terms, which cover merchandise orders only.

United States launch. Squad IQ's initial public release is distributed only through the United States App Store and is intended for adult account holders in the United States. App Store availability is determined by the country or region of a customer's Apple Account. This distribution choice is not a technical geofence: someone who lawfully obtained the app through the United States App Store may continue to access it while traveling, subject to these Terms and applicable law. We do not promise availability outside the United States.

By creating an account or using Squad IQ, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Squad IQ Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the Terms, do not use the Service. When the app asks for your confirmation, it records the document versions, app version and build, and a server-generated confirmation time. The adult/roster-authority statement also has its own recorded version.

1. Adult accounts only

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement to create or use a Squad IQ account. Squad IQ is a coaching tool designed for adult coaches, managers and trainers. It does not provide player or child accounts. The app asks you to affirm that you are at least 18 but does not ask for or independently verify your date of birth.

2. Your account

Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and tell us promptly at jogalavida@gmail.com if you believe someone accessed your account without permission. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Email-and-password accounts must confirm their email address before normal use. Squad IQ also supports Sign in with Apple and Google sign-in.

3. Roster records and your responsibilities

As between you and us, you retain whatever rights you hold in content you enter, including teams, player names, optional player photos, matches, lineups, training sessions, attendance, grades, manual payment records, notes, ratings and reports. This does not give you ownership of another person's identity, likeness or personal information. You give us a limited license to host, process, back up, display and export that content only as needed to operate, secure, maintain and support Squad IQ, comply with applicable requirements, or follow your instructions.

Information about other people. Only create a player record when you are authorized to manage that information. If a player is a minor, you are responsible for any notice, permission or consent required from the player, parent, guardian, club or other organization. Where appropriate, tell them that Squad IQ is used and direct them to the Privacy Policy. You confirm this authority once, when you create your account, as part of the adult-account statement you accept at sign-up. The app additionally asks for a separate photo-authority confirmation each time a newly selected player photo is uploaded, and records one photo-authorization entry per account holder, player and statement version; later confirmations under the same version are not separately timestamped. These confirmations do not replace any notice, permission or consent actually required.

Collect only what is necessary for coaching. Do not enter medical, injury-treatment, school, home-address, player or parent contact, precise location, safeguarding or other sensitive personal information. Do not store government identifiers or passwords. Squad IQ is not a medical-record, school-record or child-safeguarding system.

The current public launch is intended for adult coaches, trainers and ordinary adult-operated teams. Formal K–12 school or school-district use requires separate product, contract and privacy review. Squad IQ does not claim FERPA compliance.

Keep roster information reasonably accurate and respond to a valid request from a player, parent or guardian to correct or remove a record. They may also contact us using the process in the Privacy Policy. We may remove or restrict content when reasonably necessary to address a privacy, safety or legal issue.

4. Photos

Player photos are optional. Use a photo only when you have authority to do so. Squad IQ stores player photos in private storage and makes them available to the signed-in adult account holder who owns the organization through expiring links. Newly selected player photos are resized and re-encoded as JPEG files on the device before upload to avoid retaining source metadata such as EXIF and GPS metadata. Do not copy, export or share a photo except for an authorized team purpose. Before upload, you separately confirm permission to upload and privately store the player's photograph for team-management purposes. Squad IQ does not retain the unprocessed source upload. Replacing or deleting a photo, or deleting its player, removes the corresponding private storage object through the app flow.

Team logos are stored using public URLs and may be accessible to anyone who has the URL. Do not upload a player photo or other personal image as a team logo.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Squad IQ to violate law or another person's rights; harass, exploit or endanger anyone; store unlawful or prohibited sensitive content; attempt to access another organization's data; disrupt or probe the Service; upload malicious code; or resell access without our written permission.

6. Availability, changes and price

We may add, change or remove features and may suspend the Service for maintenance, security or legal reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Squad IQ is currently free. If paid features are introduced, we will show the price and applicable terms before charging you.

Manual payment records. Training-session price, payment status, amount paid, payment date and related note fields are for manual bookkeeping only. Squad IQ does not accept, route, settle, refund or otherwise process payments and does not verify that a payment occurred. Never enter card numbers, bank-account numbers, security codes, passwords or other financial credentials.

7. Deletion and termination

Actions labeled Archive for a team, campaign, match or training session hide that record from active views; they are not permanent deletion actions. Related rosters, events, lineups, statistics, attendance, grades, notes and manual payment records remain stored. The current app offers an immediate Undo action but no separate trash screen for permanently deleting those archived records.

You can permanently delete an individual player from that player's edit screen. When that flow completes successfully, it deletes the profile and its structured team memberships, tags, player notes, training attendance, grades, manual payment records and authorization-confirmation records. The flow separately deletes the private photo. Historical match and tactical records may be retained for sporting integrity, but structured player links are removed or anonymized. If deletion is interrupted between the database and file-storage steps, a retry or support may be required.

Automated deletion cannot reliably find identifying information you typed into an unrelated free-text team, match, training or tactical note. You must review and remove such content when responding to a valid correction or deletion request.

You can delete your account through More › Account safety › Delete account. After the required recent re-authentication and confirmation, the account is locked and scheduled for purge no earlier than seven days later. You may cancel while the request is still pending and before its scheduled time. The purge spans authentication, database records and file storage; interrupted work is retried, and a safety-stopped request may require operator review. After a completed purge, direct user and organization identifier fields are cleared from the remaining deletion-status record. After completion or cancellation, a limited record of the request's status, timestamps and outcome — without squad, roster, player, match, training, note, logo, photo or other ordinary account content — is retained for 90 days. Safety-stopped requests remain until reviewed. Limited operational logs and provider backup copies may remain under the separate retention conditions described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate an account that materially violates these Terms or creates a privacy, security or legal risk.

8. Coaching disclaimer

Squad IQ supports, but does not replace, your judgment. Coaching insights, ratings, lineup and formation ideas, tactical suggestions, reports and other data-derived recommendations are informational decision support. They may be incomplete or incorrect, and their usefulness depends on the quality, completeness and timeliness of the information entered. You remain responsible for coaching, personnel and safety decisions. Do not treat automated suggestions as authoritative professional determinations. Squad IQ does not guarantee any competitive result.

The current version of Squad IQ does not send customer or player information to an AI model provider and does not use that information to train AI models. Any future feature that processes information through an AI provider would require updated disclosures and any confirmation required for that processing.

The current mobile app has no advertising, targeted advertising, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, public social feed, direct messaging, public player profiles or public player-photo gallery.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of data, revenue or goodwill.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to Squad IQ or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for Squad IQ during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim or (b) USD $100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited, or waives mandatory consumer rights. Keep your own copies of information you cannot afford to lose.

9. Apple App Store

These Terms are between you and Dean Rivers, the provider of Squad IQ under the JOGALAVIDA brand, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Squad IQ, its content, maintenance or support. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for claims concerning the app, including product-liability, regulatory or intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. The Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the extent applicable.

You represent that you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism and are not on a U.S. Government restricted-party list.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will change the date above and provide additional notice when appropriate. The app may require you to affirmatively accept updated Terms and acknowledge an updated Privacy Policy before continuing.
